Super shuttle is done this year. Is this the result of Uber/Lyft environment or just a model that was no longer valid? Super Shuttle is made up of Super Shuttle the blue vans that would carry multiple people (like a slimmed down bus service) and Execucar. My experience was with the later and it was excellent at a time when the only other option was a cab.
With the advent of stick labor with the bill (aka gig model of Uber et al), businesses like Super Shuttle are not viable for the simple reason that Super Shuttle are stuck with the cost of operating and the rules of operating that the Ubers out right disregard and don't follow. Funny thing is even with Ubers not following the rules and hampered with the cost, they still can't make money. Interesting.
But everything is great and nothing to worry about. Sudden closings of long time players like Super Shuttle, Celadon, Dean Foods and more, its all good. Nothing to worry about.
