University Cost

Wolf Richter of Wolf Wallstreet nails how awful the State of the university system is in the US (link).

Sum it up, enrollment is collapsing (10-50% depending on the segment) yet debt load for those attending has gone up 70%+ over the last 8 years.  How is this possible.

Simple, this is what happens when unlimited capital (guaranteed student loans), that enables universities get any money they want, lenders have no risk, and the students get stuck with the bill.

Read Wolf's article, absolutely damning. But now we are in the case of few people (customers) paying the higher price. Student loan debt $ 1.6T and growing.  Back to the source of the problem, unlimited stupid capital.  At least in the case of Silicon Valley (SiliValley), VCs can loose money. Universities, just have to keep their students distracted so the students don't realized who has enslaved their future, the University and their government.  No wonder States have to legalize pot. Need to keep everyone comfortably numb.
